I have 2013 Honda Accord LX MT (turn key), 98K. Having intermittent starting issue, everything powers up and I hear clicking noises from the starter, but it will not start. After about 20 to 30 attempts it will start; however, sometime it will start the first attempt. I’ve taken to the local Honda service center several times and they couldn’t reproduce it. I replaced the following parts: Starter, Battery (cables cleaned, good), Alternator & Ignition Switch. Problem still exist .. Any advice/help is appreciated.

 

There is a contact point inside the starter that gets worn/burned down. I just got mine up and running today. I replaced the brush assembly in the starter motor. I have a diagram of the parts but no part numbers. Did you do the work yourself or take it somewhere? I am only asking because I dont have technical terms or names for anything, but if you took it apart yourself then you will know what I am talking about.
