Default Vtec wiring issue

Whats up fellas i need some advice on this vtec wiring stuff i know theres a bunch of treads out there but for some reason still not working ok so here is the scenario if anyone wanna help would be appreciated 97 acura integra automatic obd2 converted to gsr 5 speed obd1 I got the step down harness for the ecu and the step down harness to the distributor i ran 3 wires 1 from the vtec selonoid and the 2 from the vtec switch i intalled the ground wire from the switch straight to the battery negative car runs as a daily but vtec wont engage i didnt install any other wires the 2 wires i ran from the vtec go straight to 2 separate pins in the ecu im using the stock ls auto harness on the engine even tho i have other gsr harness i can use the car runs better with the ls one im so lost now do i have to install more wires to the ecu for vtec to work today i noticed my car wont rev pass 7k oh im using a p30 ecu any ideas

Check these pics for the pin outs for the vtec on the ecu. they go to A4 and D6 on the ecu

Unplug the battery and plug it back in after a few mins, it should clear the ecu and let you rev it normally.

I would suggest a Hondata with a base map chipped in a P72
