wiring vtec into a non vtec harness...
B4 ppl start freaking out... I have searched and i only find the info i already knew about...
Im wiring vtec into a buddies harness, and i was planning on just running new wires from the vtec plugs to the ecu.
Im using the vtec wires from a JDM Type r harness, but one of them branches off into i believe are the iacv, iat sensors?.. am i correct has anyone ever gone through this?.. should i re wire the other sensors up or can i just run the vtec plugs??...
Please help!!!... any info will help?

they have nothing to do with vtec. on some swaps iacv and iat are actually different connections though and you need to swap them. for example, on my obd1 GSR into obd2a civic, i reused my obd2a harness but the iacv and iat plugs didn't fit so i stole them from the GSR harness.
what are you trying to do?

well i just wanted to take out the vtec wires, and use them in the original non vtec harness... and i wanted to know if i should run the others aswell?

no no no... thats just hack!!..
im running it with all the harness wires to the main harness clips... then from the other clip to the ecu.

if you do it right it can look clean. just wire it to the shock tower and pin it in there. then wire it from the shock tower to the ecu... trying to take the whole wire out is just hassle for basically nothing.
