Default what ecu? help

i have a 97 civic coupe with a b16a swap. what stock ecu can i use to have it run and drive. i need to pass NYS inspection with no check engine light. i plan on having one ecu for passing inspection and a obd1 ecu that is chipped for after inspection.

is the usdm p30 the only option? i have a b16a2 block and tranny with a b16a head.

P2T with a conversion harness, P30, or P72. Will need to do the CKF bypass trick and have a working second O2 sensor.

I thought it had to be obd2a because it's a 97 and when they plug in for inspection it needs to match. if I can use obd2b would I just need a jumper?

You haven't given me any documents stating whats needed in your 'county', I don't even know where you live. /thread
