Default HELP! B18C4 Swap - ECU problem.

I just swapped a (UK)B18C4 into my 2000 USDM Civic Si. At the time, I did not have an OBD2-1 conversion harness so I had to swap oil pumps in order for my civic ECU to read the crank sensor and start the engine. After swapping the oil pump and injectors, and putting the engine in the car, the motor started right up with my OBD2 civic Si ecu. When I finally got my conversion harness I plugged in my OBD1 P9K (UK version of P72) turned the key and it will not start, the engine turns but never starts. If I plug the Si ECU in it will work, I have even plugged in a OBD1 ecu from a civic DX(USDM) and it started. I used my OBD2 wiring from my USDM civic Si w/conversion harness on a UK ECU and UK motor, Is this why I am having problems? The person I bought the motor and ECU said that the ECU and motor ran fine before he pulled it out of the car. Is there anything different between USDM and UK wiring or ECU pinout? Please help.

P9K? Never heard of it, any chance we can get pics? And you're saying it's an OBD1 ecu? So you are using a ecu-conversion harness to plug it into your OBD2b civic?

What does the ECU look like:

Is the block stamped B18C4, that would be quite the conversation piece, or a B18C3...

Yes, the block is stamped B18C4, it is basically a GSR motor with LSD, it comes in the UK Civic 5 door wagon.

The ecu part # is 37820-P9K-E11
It is OBD1 since it has only 2 rows of pins.

I will try to get some pics.
