99 Civic Ex...Bad Tranny?
99 civic ex auto
Y7 swap because original y8 blew
When you shift to D (drive) and step on gas..it sometimes doesnt go..just rev
Is the tranny going bad? Could it be a solenoid or axle, shifter cable?
Ive check AT fluid, its full...replaced the solenoid on top of tranny by dizzy.
Any ideas what it might be?

If the speedometer goes up but the car does not move, it is an axle problem, usually not having one of the axles locked all the way into the transmission.
Otherwise stuff like this is something inside the transmission especially if automatic.

Here's what ive done/checked so far
Replaced solenoid on top of tranny
Swap to y8 ecu (was on y7)
Checked AT fluid (good, full)
Axles are seated properly in tranny...no leaks
Checked shifter cable...all shift to proper position from Park to D2
After the y8 ecu swap i was able to drive/shift car better as in tranny will grab when shifted into Drive
Like 5/10 times
I bought the car known that it had this issue...found out later it had a y7 swap w/ y8 intake manifold... vin showed it was a 97.
Mileage is at 190k...so, id guessed y7 might be higher.

you can't use a y7 ecu on a y8 tranny, will throw a cel code after a bit of driving. You need to identify what tranny you have and use the proper ecu.

It was a y7 swap with the original y8 intake manifold
So, y7 block/head/ecu/tranny
Previous owner said he owned n drove car for almost 4 years with that set up/swap...
Also, no CEL
