Default New Timing belt tensioner belt rides off edge

I'm in the process of changing timing belt for 2005 1.7L Honda Civic. I have OEM belt, pump and tensioner. I noticed the the belt is riding onof the edge of the NSK tensioner when I spin it around while the rest of the belt rides completely on the gears. Is this a known issue or is this tensioner not wide enough? The Honda one looks slightly wider. I'm tempted to just put the Honda one back. It is in good shape. Car has 107000 miles on it.
