I just swap my 4.7fd for a 5.33... (k20a) When I m trying to close back the casing, the damn c clip dosen t want to lock the shaft(bearing) in place. I know I have to flip it upside down for the shaft to get back into place... anyone ever had this prob? Anyone ever had to change the shim in between the upper bearing and 6th gear?

 

did you spread the clip so it can begin to slide around the bearing race as you drop the case on?

 

What was the shim clearance on the CS?

 

The gap between the 6th and the upper bearing was 1.43 and we need 1.91 for the c clip to lock...

0.48 is the thickness it miss before the c clip lock the bearing...

 

Of course, it s not my first time....
