Hi just wondering if anyone has come across this issue,when my car has been sat a few days and I turn the ignition on sometimes the Speedo needle shoots up and down and does the same when I start the car and I’m letting it warm up it still moves up and down also does it for a while when driving,it will correct itself to the speed I am doing say 30mph but still shoots up and down back to 0mph.once I have drove the car for a little while it stops doing it? Could this be a nackered vss sensor? Thanks!

 

Any CEL with a code for the VSS?
Check the #10 (7.5 A) fuse in the Driver's Under-Dash fuse/Relay Box.
Check ground for the gauge assembly.
Troubleshoot the VSS circuit for short or open, faulty gauge assembly/connector or a faulty PCM.
