pull out the harness at the speed sensor and clean it or maybe just push it back in

If it stopped working all to gether the the coil on the back of the gauge could be off. First clean out the speed sensor and then check the guage. There is no fuse to the speedo or speed sonsor, so that isn't it.

Has it stopped working at all? If so then check and clean your connections at the speed sensor and back of cluster. If still nothing, then pull the guage and sheck the coil. If the coil is good and attached, then try replacing the speed sensor. For a speed sensor to go is pretty uncommon, but I have seen it before. Check all of these in that order and get back to us after you do it .

Yes! If you have to replace your VSS try to do it yourself. Costs me $400+ to have them replace mine, and my **** still doesn't work. If it ever quits raining I'm going to pull my cluster over spring break to see if everything is in the cluster good and tight. What can you clean the VSS with? Would TB cleaner work, or would that jack it up?

Go to the junkyard and cut one off and wire it back up. Should take care of your problem.
