Default Options ? Trans mount bolt threads stripped

all 3 tranny motor mount holes are stripped. Also looks like someone previously tapped the one on the right and went too far down and thru.
Any ways there’s not even any thread left inside (so it looks like). The bolts slide in and out. I can get a few threads in two holes.
What would you guys reccomend doing ?

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the size is M12x1.25.(the one size my tap and die set does not contain)
Would it be worth running a m12x1.25 tap through the hole?
Or would I be wasting my time

Try it first just so you can keep OEM, but likely wasting time. Plenty of material there to go bigger though. Like M14x1.25. But that hole into the trans, though. I guess you could tap it upside down so nothing falls in and gums up the gears.....

yeah that’s what I would like to do. I just found this out now. I’m passed. Worst part about it is trans is mounted to the motor. Thankfully amazon prime is nice. Tap will b here tomorrow.
So M14 x 1.25 would b the next size to go up to if I was to go bigger ?

I tried to find them in the store but couldn’t find the proper size anywhere. I’m assuming I will have to order them

ordering them is the only way. I had to order timeserts from amazon, looks like the kit came with everything plus extra timeserts in case another stupid header bolt thread came loose.

explains why nobody had them. Anyways thanks for the replies guys👍🏼👍🏼 Not sure what I’m going to do about this hole yet.
Could I maybe shove some jb weld like 3/4 way down the hole and just not tap as far ? And make one stubby bolt ?

most parts stores don't carry everything, they can only hold so much.

Time-Sert also makes a Big-Sert, so you can repair a REALLY jacked up hole and keep the same thread size, if needed.

autozone does not carry Helicoil m12 1.25. I’ve looked everywhere in person.
Advanced, autozone and pep boys.

Take the time to take off the case. It's really not difficult and you can ensure you get no chips in your gears and end up with a broken transmission. There is no other right way to do it.

There is enough meat on the holes that you can drill and re-tap the new/bigger threads, or just use a timesert/helicoil. I'd prefer drilling/tapping over an insert, but if one does not know what they are doing, they may muck it up more. Worst case, weld the holes shut and re-drill them, it's only metal

+1 on take the case apart, since there is a hole that goes through, there's likely already debris inside that needs to be cleaned out. And be careful not to go too deep on the other holes. The hole that goes through you'd want to put sealant on the bolt to keep water from getting in or oil from leaking out.

Update: ran the tap thru the block and just made some new threads deeper down and used some longer bolts. They torque good.
I will b locktiting the bolts with red locktite just for some insurance.
Also will be buying a torque mount.

EG Civic with D-series? If so, shoot me a PM, I just pulled mine off since I went with upgraded mounts. I even went ahead and filled the mount with window weld. I'd let it go for cheap.

Ok so now I remember. The kit for m10×1.25 has a tap that is m12x1.25. I went bigger on my dsm

Not shown, I had to pull the trans again anyways because the pivot ball in the brand new trans needed a shim
