Default Power Steering Pump/bracket issue

I have searched this issue but found mostly info for b series swaps. I have a 93 del sol I'm finishing up with a d16y8 from a 98 civic ex. Its been a long road because I only work on it a few hours a month due to other hobbies. Anyway, of course the 98 power steering pump won't fit the 93 high pressure line and the 93 bracket won't mount to the d16y8 head. I would prefer not to go the route of using a hydraulics shop to make/modify if possible. Is there a bracket/pump combo that will mount on the d16y8 head and work with the existing line from the del sol?

Thanks

What pump/line configuration did they use in 96-97 when the Si had a Y8 in it?

FWIW it's not a big deal to have a line made. I did on my swap after I realized that the pump side fitting was different for older pumps but before I discovered that I could just use the CR-V bracket and keep my Civic pump. It wasn't expensive to get the desired ends cut off the old lines and swaged onto some new line... maybe $40?

I'm not sure what configuration was used. I just know the inlet on the pump from the d16y8 isn't the same exact size. If I remember correctly it is smaller and the line from the del sol won't fit. I'll guess I'll look into having the ends swapped. How did they attach the end to the new line?

The banjo fitting is barbed where it fits into the hose, and just has the fancy crip around it. You MAY be able to get away with using a good hose clamp, but I would do it properly.

No way I’d hose clamp it. The power steering sees really high pressure. The correct way to do it is called a swage, it’s a crimped on fitting. Any hydraulic shop can do it, I had mine done at a NAPA in Orlando back when I did it.

a del sol did come with a y8 at one point. Best pull the diagram from the online parts honda site.
