d14a4 to d16z6 swap
Hi you guys, I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to on the forum.
So I bought an EJ9 that came with the 1.4i d14a4 and want to swap it for the d16z6. i'm going to use the P28 ECU.
Now i'm thinking the d14a4 is an obd2-a dpfi non-vtec engine and the d16z6 an obd1 mpfi with vtec.
so I was wondering wouldn't it be easier if I just swap both the engine and cabin harness to obd1 from something like an Si instead of manually wiring the whole thing?
Does it become plug and play then?
I don't see anything about this and am curious why
