Knock Sensor
Needing some help. I have an 2002 Honda Accord with the 2.3L. I went to change my oil the other day and noticed i had a sensor broke, it ended up being my knock sensor. Never had a check engine light on, and still doesn't. But now that i replaced it, the car idels like crap, and when i try to get up to speed the car kind of falls on its face. Ive never had this issue before, any ideas?
Did you torque it to the correct spec?
Over tightening the sensor may damage it or cause a false reading.
If your CEL doesn't come on when turning the car to II(ON) at proveout time, then the CEL lamp is probably burned out and you should check your vehicle for any additional codes with an OBDII scanner. 98-02 model year also sets codes in memory without setting off the CEL.
Otherwise, go back to the way it was with the broken harness and see if that 'fixes' the issue.
