Vtec problems after camshafts swap
Hey friend, I hope you can help me with this mystery:
i have a ek4 civic with b16a2 engine. Recently I swapped my oem cams with a buddy club stage 3+ cams that I have from my old eg6 (b16a2 engine) because I’m seeking for more power in the ek4, but for some reason when I put this cams in my Vtec stops working or at least I don’t notice the engagement (not sound and not more power) but it still revs up to 8500rpm. I’ve already test Vtec oil pressure (65psi), tested Vtec solenoid (it clicks), changed oil (5w-40), change MAP sensor, etc and the only solution I found to make Vtec work again has been swapping again the oem camshafts.
any idea what could be happening?
i must mention that de bc 3+ cams where working perfectly in the eg6 before.
thank for you help!

Perhaps you installed the valvetrain incorrectly. Aren't there pins within the rockers that add pressure when the solenoid is engaged?
Anyways would it make to engage Vtec with oem cams but not with the aftermarket ones?
