Gsr Swap in Auto EK
Looking to swap a gsr into an auto ek shell. Can i use a SI wiring harness and ecu? What will i need to get the job done? thanks. I tried searching but nothing really descriptive came up for it.
There are a LOT of usable extra wires on an automatic engine harness that can be repurposed. I would use the the harness in the car and modify it as necessary. There would be enough wires to operate all sensors.
You can use the auto harness and adapt it to a manual swap.
This is what I did in my car. There are a few specific wires that need to be jumped/moved as the manual ECU only has 3 plugs vs the 4 on the auto plug.
You also need to tie the wires for the shifter (there are 2 different ones) and your dash will stay in park all the time but it will allow the key to come out of the ignition.
You can extend the wires for the shifter also to setup the clutch pedal starter switch.... but you can also just jump it and not worry about it.
