Can only k20 and k24 motors legally be put into this year honda? Also ive been reading up on frankenstein motors its pretty interesting i just want to know the cheapest route to make power without having to turbo the d17a2 i have in it i know the d17a has a bit more hp but not enough to swap it for. Another thing f23 and h22 technically had a motor made in 02 for the accords i just want to see if even 4k would be able to get a somewhat quick honda

 

Search for this info, its everywhere. But a short rundown, the only engines you can really physically put in 7th gens are d17's and K series, As far as legality, youd have to check your state's laws, they are all different. 4k would get you a good turbo setup on the d17 but its never going to be a barn burner with that drive train, and if your cars an Automatic, forget about adding much power, they are fairly weak.

please can some one help me out, my 02 civic engine was swapped from vtec to d17a non vtec and it does not rev above 4000rpm
it is scanned and shows p1259, p0166 and p0167 codes.
please any help?
