Which engine?
I have a 96 civic dx coupe. I'm going to be doing a engine swap soon. I was rear-ended last year and will be will be getting about 4-6000. This is what I have to work with. I just wonted to get some info on what engine to get.

Re: Which engine? (jwrcivicdx)
First off Welcome.
This is a huge question. What do you want from the motor? Are you gonna drag it, autox it, daily driver?
I went with a b18c itr motor. lots of power and a great base to do more later. I have buds that went the turbo route with b18b motors.
Its easy to drop 5 grand or more on a motor so just do lots of research, I probably put in over 100 hours in research before making my purchase and I had a turbo set-up just sitting in my office waiting to go in but went with the all motor route.
Once you get a few opinions do some searching (its a great search engine) and figure it out from there.
Good Luck

In addition are you gonna do the swap? If so do a check on your experience and figure out how much you can handle.
Most swaps are cake but others require a bit more skill, not loads of skill but you definently have to have some commen sense about you.
