Weird grinding clunk sound when accelerating/under low rpmload
Here is the whole story.
So I have a 2002 honda Civic Ex D17a2. I bought the car from the original owner (I am now the second owner) he said the trans was slipping, the motor ran great. [The car had 264,000miles. A month goes by as it sat in my backyard waiting in line to get its transmission rebuilt. I had a guy do the trans, my dad reccomend the guy since he has done other work for him. Got the car back and put new oil in, then started to drive it to work and back. The second day the VTEC solenoid went out. I purchased another and it worked for a day or so before failing again. I drove the car for a week with the issue, the solenoid was stuck halfway so it would clack loudly, trying to engage vtec. replaced the part with no issues after. With the car sitting for some while. I went and replaced the waterpump, timing belt, tensioner, cam seal, crank seal, valve cover gasket, front bearings, front rotors, brake pads, struts, sway arm bushings, tie rod ends, lower ball joints, lower control arm. Being my first time having a JDM engine and doing the waterpump, the engine got hot the next morning due to air being still trapped in the system. Like. Almost hitting the red on the temp gauge. I turned the car off immediately, using a towel I cracked the radiator cap open, gurgle gurgle gurgle it made, the temp went down and added more coolant. Now right around when i did the timing belt related things,
HERE IS THE ISSUE IM HAVING
When i travel 40mph, coasting, slowly stepping on the accelerator i hear this.. bearing sound. Like if you spin a skateboard wheel. It that has that sound. Pushing the pedal down slowly even more it has a clunk sound, not just a single clunk. Its no rod knock, its quiet, you cant hear it over the ac/air blowing. I experience the sounds mostly when driving and accelerating. The sound is in front of me. Its not the transmission. I do not hear the sounds when in park. I think the issue may be the the timing belt related, Cv axle, or oil pump. I checked the valve lash. Its good. Its not the alternator i changed it twice. Im gonna buy the dx model alternator belt to remove the ac compressor as a factor. Ugh. It bothers my ocd. If i floor it i dont hear the noise what so ever.
Any ideas?
