Default 2004 civic DX- high pitched whine when accelerating. quiet rattle/grind when coasting

Hi everyone, Im new to the forums.
Picked up a used 2004 civic 4-door dx, had it safetied for the road and fixed what need to be to pass the safety.
yesterday i was driving around at highway speeds. When accelerating in the 90-120 km/h range there is an obvious high pitched whine/whistling sound that gets louder the faster i go. When I take my foot off the gas it stops.
The thing is when I take my foot off the gas, the whistle stops but theres is a very faint rattle/grind sound. All this is coming from the front.

Originally I thought it was a bearing the the alternator starting to go as when id rev the engine up the headlights would get brighter. I had the battery and alternator tested and they are both good.
Im thinking now it may be the front bearings. I know cooked bearings cam make a grinding sound, but can they whistle?
Im obviously troubleshooting and working my way from things that are easier to check, im hoping its just the wheel bearings and not bearings in the transmission (manual).

So Im just looking for opinions as to what it could be? along with can the wheel bearings make a whistle/whine sound?
