Default Rear Window

My rear window is unable to roll down and all I hear is a click near the radio. I was looking into it and was thinking it's a bad power window control module but I'm unable to find it. I have a 93 del Sol Si.

There are 6 fuses for the power window system in the sol. Make sure that fuses 5, 7, 8, 14, 15 and 36 in the under dash fuse panel are good. If they all check you need to see if you are getting signal to power window control unit(PWCU) behind the center of the I/P. You should be getting power to pin 8 (red/yellow wire) on the pwcu when the swich is in the up position and power in pin 3 (red/black wire) on the pwcu when the switch is in the down position.

All fuses looked okay, fuse 36 i have no idea where that's at. I checked for voltage on the pins and nothing. I tried a ground on the chassis.

Fuse 36 will be in the underhood fuse box. What pins did you check for volatage? The fuses or at the pwcu?

If your not getting power to the pwcu, the next thing we need to check is the output of the window switch in the drivers door panel. To test this you will need to back probe the connect as it will need to be connected to the window switch to check operation. First thing to check is power to the switch. This will be the yellow wire on pin 10 and will have power at all times. If this is good make sure that your main window switch is in the on and check the out put on red and yellow wire on pin 14 when the rear window switch is in the up position and the red and black wire on pin 13 in the down position.

I'm getting voltage at the connector that goes to the rear window. I'm getting voltage on the red and blue and the red and orange.

If you are checking at the window motor itself, make sure you are also getting ground on the wire that is not getting power as you need both power and ground to the motor to operate. If you are getting both power and ground to the rear window motor itself then it is the window motor.

Solved! Turned out the motor was bad. Threw a new one in and worked like a charm. Thanks for helping me trouble shoot!!
