I recently purchased a 97 HX Coupe. I have done my research on most of the information I needed but I have yet to find the answer to a simple question. This chassis is an EJ7. I was wondering what chassis (EG, EK) would be interchangeable with it as most aftermarket places such as KTuned, JBTuned, Hasports, etc. only seem to sell for EK and EG chassis.

when referring to the EG and EK chassis the year range is 92-95 for EG and 96-00 for EK

 

The automatic hx has a different automatic mount so that is the only difference. I haven't seen anybody make one for this specific model.

If you are 5spd hx you should be able to get away with any mount kit specific to the ek.

 

It's a factory 5 spd. Looks like Hasport has me covered lol. Will be getting hitting you guys up for mount soon with my k20 swap!

actually the whole chassis of the auto HX is different due to the cvt transmission being physically bigger
