B16A Catch-Can Question
I've got a B16A that has the freeze plug and 10AN fittings on the back of the block. It didn't come with the original black box, so I was wondering how I'd run just a simple catch can. Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!
seems like they eliminated the whole PCV box, which is fine.
just plumb that AN fitting and the nipple of the valve cover into a container. vent to air. plug any holes on the intake tube ahead of the throttle body, and any holes on the intake manifold as well, if it hasnt been done already.
do not try to plumb anything back into the intake manifold. it defeats the purpose of a catch can.

I think it has to be done like this.
The two hoses from the valve cover vent to the catchcan which is open to atmosphere. Which has a breather filter on it.
This won't pass any emissions test. It has to be closed to pass. But you could still utilize a catchcan(not in your situation though since you say the black box was plugged.)
