Check Engine light with paper clip, 04 civic ex
I have checked every youtube video and looked everywhere on the passenger kick panel in order to read the code without the obd reader. Any help will be awesome!!

You cannot do that in the '04 Civic... the 2 pin service connector doesn't exist in that application. You must use the diagnostic port.

If you dont have an OBD II, follow this video with a paper clip and boom it tells you the code. It took me awhile to find a video and yes it does work....https://youtu.be/XzDjDCJ4GiI

So there are pins at the diagnostic port that can be jumped to do the same thing as the older DTC 2-pin connector. Awesome. Thank you for sharing.
