Hello everyone.. Im new here but have an issue with my accord..

I have a 2004 Accord EX 2.4 4cyl . I have a leak in the line on the rack and pinion.. it is a hole in the line itself, not a fitting. My mechanic want $700 to replace the rack because he said the lines cant be replaced. My question is, is there a way to replace/repair the line on the rack. I cant afford a $700 fix on this car right now. Im not sure if the leak is on the feed or return line.. should get an answer on that when i pick the car up. any help anybody can give me would be greatly apprecited..

Also.. does anybody happen to know the size of those lines so I can try to find a fix myself?
