I have a 00 civic si tranny and block with an 89 crv b16 head. I did the swap in my 97 civic coupe and everything is hooked up except the evap purge valve. It is plugged in and ready to go but there is on vacume hook up on the intake manifold becusse its jdm. how should I go about getting vacume to the purve valve?
will that effect the braking performance if I tee off the brake booster? I've never done this before
Nope... it will work just fine. If you have concerns with respect to braking performance, "T" off the PCV valve hose. If this option bothers you, remove the intake manifold. Drill a hole in it and install a 1/8" hose barb and connect the purge hose directly to it and you don't have to "T" into anything.
that sounds like the best way, ill probably just t in somewhere to make life a little easier until i have the IM off again, im just questioning everything but wouldn't it cause damage to the purge valve if ran off PCV because of oil build up?
