Default SOLVED!! Please for the love of god help!!

I have a 2000 Honda Civic hx automatic (cvt tranny) I have a surging idle after replacing the idle air control valve, cleaning throttle body, replacing spark plugs and wires.

cel codes? grab some carb cleaner and spray it around, if you have a vacuum leak you'll notice the rpm's go up from the spray

Is CEL code P0505 thrown?

Check whether one or more vacuum hoses on the IM are disconnected.

Did you replace the TB gasket and torque the nuts and bolts to spec?

So far no cel
already replaced idle air control valve
i thought about cleaning the old iacv and putting it on and seeing how it will be

I put the same throttle body gasket back on and torque it to spec
vacuum hoses on the “Im”?? What’s the IM again?

PROBLEM SOLVEDDDDDD!!

SOLUTION ::

Morning Sex = Good Luck!

i cleaned the old iacv and swapped them back out and so far the idle sounds perfect! I guess I got a bad iacv !

Air trapped in the system can cause the idle to bounce. I believe it’s related to the iacv not registering coolant temp

a new iacv that was bad, an ebay special or oem part?
