Hi All,

Some of you may know that I have a full retrofit of JDM headlight washers on my 5th Gen 92-95 Civic. (Some people don't like them, this thread is not your opportunity to complain about this rare OEM feature.) I'm wondering what interest there is out there in the Civic community for more retrofit sets, for either an EG or an EK Civic?

I've recently sourced another EG Civic set complete with special bottle, pumps, squirter, tubing, switch and relay, including all pigtails.

I've also sourced an even RARER headlight washer setup for the 6th Gen EJ/EK, and am wondering what interest there might be in that, too.

These kits aren't cheap for me to locate and buy, obviously, so start saving your pennies if you're interested. But, I'd like to gauge interest in these kits to see if they are worth importing. If you're totally confused about this post, see my sig for a link to my DIYs.

I'm not sure there would be much interest in these. I'm a fan of all the rare options however this one doesn't look all that clean and quite frankly, they're not really necessary at all. Even where it snows hard, you can just wipe the snow off of them when you remove snow from the whole car. Unless they pile up when you're driving but I'm not sure that even happens.

Good luck though. I would love to one day actually see a Civic with this.

Its not so much the snow thats the problem, headlights get coated in salt within a few kilometres and it reduces light output.

Yes, but its under much higher pressure than normal.

I might be interested in a set if they'd fit an EK with a 99-00 front end and if the price wasn't ridiculous.

What are you looking to get price wise and would they fit on my car with the different front end?

Price would be market price to reflect their limited availability and difficulty to obtain. The best way to determine this is to put them on eBay.

My research tells me there was a slight change to the EK kits for 99-00. Seems like just an aesthetic change, though.

Where does the bottle mount in the EG? Would it interfere with a DC2 Mugen intake?

Larger bottle with HLW pump replaces your existing washer bottle.

I can't speculate on price yet, but I will want to at least cover my costs. (I'm not running a charity here. )

Yes and no. I suppose if you break one I could source another for you, but for this round it's more of an all-or-nothing thing, because shipping is expensive - so it's better to get the whole system.

I hope you don't just want to put some nozzles on your bumper for show!

yes as a matter of fact. i'm not gonna lie, here in cen cal there is no need for this. i havent seen snow since i went to the mountains 2 years ago!

Snowed here today. Didn't stick around though. Won't be long til they're salting the streets again and accelerating my rust problem.
