My trunk wont shut unless it is slammed shut.it must be coming from the bottom part because I see a piece of plastic that's broken. Anyone know the name of the bottom latch so that I can fix it? I keep searching for the name of it and its not coming up. Bottom trunk latch isn't working either lol Part numbers appreciated!!

well....instead of making a lameass thread, why don't you spend the 15 seconds on eBay and type in what you need. Was it really that hard to do??

 

 

@NVturbo There is never a "lame ***" question for a beginner. I was told on another forum to grease the part up and re align the latch instead of buying a part. Im surprised a know it all (you) didn't suggest that.

1) Don't assume (A DAY LATER) after every thing was said that I haven't done it; after the fact that I said ill have to search for it.

2) Not only am I new to this site, bought my del sol 2 weeks ago, but im trying to learn about cars including this one.

3) I didn't know the part name until he sent me the link then I looked on ebay. thank you again @muellersfan

either way I see where its not hitting to engage so im going to have to move the latch I think

 

 

You actually think people were so helpful when this site was first developed? People didn't want to give you any advice. Info was scarce and no one gave a **** if you learned or not. Stop feeling so entitled. Do your homework and search.

 

try adjusting the latch. it and/or the hook can be moved up or down.
