Hey guys.
really need some help.

1st issue.
knock sensor.i see the previous owner cut off the pigtail clip that connects the wire harness to the knock sensor.
iv tried mounting the red/blue wire to the knock sensor with a speaker terminal but that doesnt work.Cel light still on.
any way i can wire up the wires to the knock sensor with out the clip?
There are 2 wires where the clip is meant to be and the knock sensor has 1 pin,i assume one wire is ground and the other carries the signal. how can i wire those to wires to the single pin knock sensor without having the pigtail clip????
iv tried running one single wire from the knock sensor straight into the ecu on pin d6 yet i still get a Cel light,
Yes i reset the ecu everytime.

2nd issue.
my temperature gauge,even after driving the car for 10mins to an hour the car is cold almost not even a quarter warm.
i replaced the thermostat thinking the old one was stuck open,yet no change.
my old d15b used to sit at half way heat yet my b16 cant even reach a quarter warmth after a hard drive?

 

I believe the knock sensor wire needs to be isolated, basically the knock wire is inside a grey cover with a ground wire. Are you using your original engine harness? What ecu? You using a conversion harness or anything?

 

2nd issue is a plug on the b16 head.

yes original engine harness,obd2a ecu,not sure what the code is of the ecu.im in SA and i believe we get the jdm or euro specked ones.
no conversation harness at all.
ill take some pics now for you

as for the second question,do you maybe have a pic of what plug i should be looking at

 

obd2a ecu? honda didn't make the em1 until 99-00 buddy. Please show pic of ecu

hmmm i did upload pics,but its been 24 hours and im still waiting for the mods to approve them ,i want to fix my car :D

 

Have you considered that the knock sensor may be bad?

Did you thoroughly bleed the cooling system?

 

sigh still waiting for mods to approve my pics.

my friend is bringing over a multi meter to test the knock sensor but it is brand new.
couldnt find it anywhere in South africa,not even junk yards so i had to order from ebay.
yes cooling system is bled,no air pockets nada

 

check your ect sensor as well.
