97 prelude cant shift problems
just bought a 97 prelude...
for the first time after 2 months of owning a decently hard driving mostly in hard rain in Seattle....
my car will not shift...
it has always had a hard time shifting into 5th unless i double shift but i have googled that and thought it was a bad fork that causes that.
but for the first time tonight i literally could not shift into any gears with any amount of strength unless i turn the car off and then rode first all the way home.
between letting the car cool and or pumping the clutch fixed the problem and now it shifts just fine again.
what could be the long term problem?
i checked my master fluid and it is fine.
my clutch is hydraulic and has its own master cylinder.
it does have a steel braided line but it leaks between the steel braid and the vinyl/plastic outer covering.
could this be the problem?
any suggestions would help thank you
