rough idle
hello everybody newbie to this community.
having a 1 thing after another with this #7- accord.
1st a can of sea foam went to the throttle body
then a valve adjustment
right after that the engine is laboring and chugging and will not keep an idle to the point of stalling
im not liking this one.
it was running pretty good except for the noisy valve
of all the hondas ive dealt with this has got me
any help would be much appreciated

If you got the valves too tight that will cause cause a rough idle. was the engine stone cold when you did the adjustment?
I dont like putting solvents into a honda TB/intake because it could damage the TPS, MAP or IACV motor, my opinion. If the intake needs cleaning remove the plenum and clean it by hand, same for runners.

Good morning thank you for your reply. I think I'm going enjoy this forum for sure. Yes the engine was stone cold. Silly me I let my sons friend who is a mechanic at honda do the valves. I don't usually let go of fixing all of my own stuff ,my bad guess and i only say that because other than a noisy valve it ran ok even after my son talked me into putting seafoam in the throttle body. As soon as that cover went on that's when the storm hit. I've never seen anything like it. I agree with you on the not adding cleaning solutions to the throttle body . But now not sure i think maybe the seafoam messed up something. I might just put it up for sale.
my regards and thanks again for your reply

pull the plugs and see if they are fouled, if the intake was super dirty the washed off crude may have ruined the plugs. I would also take the cam cover off and check a few of the valves, he may have set only one or two incorrectly. If the idle is oscillating then have a look at the IACV, it may be stuck.
