I’m in the process of over hauling my D16y8. I removed the motor from the vehicle, in plans of replacing the water pump, timing belt, tensioner, head gasket, clutch, and motor mounts. My issue is that I removed my head and lost motion assembly holder. I tilted the head to the side to inspect and heard a part fall. I don’t think it’s a dowel pin because it’s solid not hallow. I removed the lost motion assembly to make the valves sit closed for resurfacing.
I’m lost to where it goes or what it is. Any help?
