Handata or AEM stand alones?
I'm pretty good at working on cars and wanna know what steps or where can I learn more about stand alone systems? I wanna do my research before I end up blowin the motor. And I dont wanna take it to a shop I wanna do it myself like I've always done.
the most important part of picking an ECU is to establish what exactly you'll need in terms of control and performance. The second most important thing is familiarity with the system in question and how easy it is to tune away from a shop and engine dyno. Third, which is of course related to the first two, will be your budget. Generally speaking I feel that Hondata costs too much for what you get, unless you are running OBD1.
