Default Ex d16a6 distributor

I’ve got a d16a6 I had a bad ignition coil, replaced it. Then the control module went out. So I went and bought a new dizzy. When I installed the dizzy the teeth snapped off. Any ideas? I’m lost????

Post a picture of what you're describing. The teeth on what snapped off?

The two tabs that go into the slot on the cam can only go in correctly one way.
Sounds like you maybe had it rotated 180 degrees and tightened it in place which snapped them off.

this is indeed what happens when you install it 180 degrees off.... luckily, you should be able to install the shaft from your used dizzy into your new one and try it again.... just be very meticulous with the internals on your new dizzy.... take pictures if you have to, so you can put it all back together correctly

So I had someone else remove the dizzy. How can I make sure that I am putting it on the correct way?
