New to the forum,
i have a 2003 Honda cibic manual trans with 1.7 engine.
Yesterday I tried to start car and didn't turn obwr, crank or or click. Checked ALL fuses. I have full battery and headlights, dome and dash lights come on. Clutch seems to engage and it's in first gear. I just changed clutch/flywheel, throw out bearing, master and slave cylinder myself and has been running like a Swiss watch. Could it be ignition switch? Starter is a few years old and tried hitting it with a rubber mallet but no change. Any sughesugges?

 

Clutch switch pad. Check your floor board for small dark blue pieces of plastic... if you find any, this is your issue. The pads break and thus the clutch switch doesn't close when you push the clutch to the floor to start the car. It essentially thinks you haven't pushed the clutch pedal down to start, so NOTHING happens. No noise, no click... nothing.

Hi I'm new but just got my A$$ kicked after installing a new clutch like yourself. Starter would not engage even after I replaced both clutch switch pads today.I found I had forgotten about the ground wire at the thermostat housing .I have a new way to change those pads with pictures when Daddy tech takes me off probation so I can start a thread about it.
