Default How to remove A/C from 90 Si

What are the steps to completely moving the A/C from a 90 Civic Si hatch? If there is a howto somewhere then by all means please send me the link. Otherwise, be as detailed as possible. Thanks!

okay honda-tech search sucks my nuts... i did a search and it didn't find it at first, i'm assuming partly because HT won't search words with 2 characters or less (like ac)... so next i did a search of the archive for just the word "remove" and skimmed through 10 pages and found this:

sounds like i first (duh) need to take it somewhere to have the freon removed if I'm going to be enviromentally friendly. (i guess i can) then i can remove the hoses, and compressor from the block, and remove the condenser in front of the radiator.

sound about right?

You got it bro... look at the location of the a/c compressor and remove all attached components including wire harnesses, a/c compressor, hoses, condensor, condensor fan, receiver/dryer unit....

Do not go beyond the firewall.. this is the evaporator unit and its housing needs to be intact for the HVAC(- the a/c) to work effeciently....
