is that not the head gasket leaking some oil? If so remove alternator and apply so toyota fipg (good stuff) to the leak after cleaning it, it stops leaks on b series engines. Not familiar with this engine I could be wrong.

Thanks for reply.
The alternator has been removed in this pic.
Do you think the part (red arrow) is removable? It looks like a part of engine.
Is it difficult to replace the gasket?
It is very small leaking, no dripping. So I will try the FIPG first.
There are also have some oil additive such as 'stop leak', do you think it is useful?
Thanks for your advice.

With all of this advice, comes the disclaimer - I haven't worked on this engine before, why dont you find out your engine model name search internet for similar issues.

To me it appears that bracket is removable, Honestly I would go the lazy approach to it. If you can see the direct source of that leak without removing that bracket, clean it with brake clean, dry it off apply the toyota fipg, let it dry for 24 hours if possible, if less time usually ok, but the more the better. Here is the toyota fipg I mention: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Toy...05ca:rk:1:pf:0

If it is your head gasket that is leaking where the oil goes through, it's not a huge deal if not a huge leak and not hitting exhaust or other flammable type components. My b16 on my 2000 civic always get a leak here and I just apply some toyota fipg to take care of it.

I would not do stop leak. If you wanted to try something, which I dont advise as the head gasket is metal and not rubber so this probably will not work at all, I would use this stuff. My wife's lr322 transfer cases was leaking out the outputshaft seal. Transfer case has to be split to replace the seal - it was a good leak. Adding this stuff just a little bit stopped the leak, not kidding.
Amazon Amazon

best of luck to you.

In my 2008 Odyssey there's a part near the alternator called the the VTEC solenoid which has been a source of oil leaks for allot of 3rd generation Odyssey owners.
Maybe it's a solenoid and the gasket needs to be replaced

I look to have the same leaking oil spot. Does anyone know if there is a gasket directly behind the alternator?
