HELP! Need Advice... Motor leaking oil, green tinge in the oil, and white residue inside oil cap!!
Hey..... recently just picked up a b20/vtec that needed soem minor work on the car..... but the motor we are just trying to figure out what the problem is...
Its a b20vtec and my friend believes the head gasket is blown. there is a green tinge to the oil when looking at the dipstick, there is a white creamy residue on the top of the oil cap and around the edges of the part that spins it down into place.
also there is a bit of oil leaking out the back which appears to be near the head gasket area.... and you can see burning oil smoke coming out of the hood... just a light haze of it, and you can smell it too.
anyone know if this is a sure sign of a blown head gasket? Or maybe its something else that you know of?
As well....... the car always needs to be charged to turn it on.... were not sure if its the battery or the alternator..... if it was the alternator would the lights constantluy dim when the car is on, or do you think I just need a new battery ? Its relocated in the truck. Maybe a bad ground?
Thanx for the help its greatly appreciated !!!

Definatly sounds like a head gasket to me. sounds like coolant is in the oil.

Nice job bringing back a dead thread just to make fun of the guy. Oh yeah, it is still a blown head gasket, haha.
