Just wondering on how much everyone spent on their swaps? Including swap shipped to your house, cost of install including parts that you HAD to have to complete the swap. Dont include things like intake or exhaust, I just wanna know the bare swap cost. And I searched and couldnt find what I am asking for, if there is something like this already posted, please give me the link, I couldnt find anything.

Yeah, I would get the motor for Osaka. $2700 for the complete swap, not too bad. I just wanna know how much more I am gonna spend to get it in a running.

All you are gonna spend is whatever the cost of the motor, assuming you will do the swap, which is the easiest swap possible. The only additional cost is getting the little 6 inch gap filled between you're exh. manifold and cat, I recommend getting a flex pipe. getting the gap filled is about $30, that's all you will possibly need. I know you didn't say other part's, but I highly recomend getting a performance radiator, or at least a radiator out of a del sol VTEC.

This may be a dumb question, but when the mounts that come on the engine, all I need is some of those mounts as well of some of the stock d-series mounts to bolt the GSR into an EG correct? I only ask because I didnt think a mount kit was needed, but HAsport sells Bseries into EG mount kits.

you would need B-series mounts..id go for SI..but up to you..but the stock mounts for D-series wouldnt be able to hold it...

I think you have your rough estimate. If your looking to scrape by and just have enough for the swap, think again. Almost no swap is without little things that add up. Even if you bought a swap with every part you need you'll still need little things sometimes...
Special tools to get parts off or on, upper/lower radiatior hoses you forgot about, fluids, replacing parts you broke during the swap, timing belt and water pump, renting a impact to get off the bolt that won't come off. Soldering iron and tape to wire your swap, coolant temp switch which is almost always bad, radiator because you hit it and bent most of the fins, new plugs, renting a hoist, getting the hoist to your house, bribing a friend to help you or use his shop, ect.
This is just some of what could happen that you can't plan for. Always figure about $500 over what you think would be high.

Yeah, I have all of those tools, including the hoist/air guns/compressors. Getting the friends together isnt a problem. I also have the radiator w/ hoses and all the fluids. I have practically everything I am gonna need, thats why I just wanted a rough estimate. Thanks everyone.
i spent 3800 after tax for complete swap. didnt need anything else at all. swap was a USDM 94 B18C1 w/ 47k miles, runs like a champ and didnt have any problems w/ it. i also intalled it. oh and 20 bucks to weld the exhaust.
oh yea and about $40 for fluids and filters and bought hoist for 200 and i did all work w/ regular hand tools that i already had. plus i bought a Del SOl radiator from Performance radiator for $152. and i also didnt change everything that is recommended casue it was inreally good shape. i think that covers the total cost that i spent. so around 4200-4300.

all in all i ended paying around as much as i was quoted from a reputable shop, but i gained more experience and a engine hoist that i have used plenty of times since i owned it.
