1997 honda civic dx radio problem. just got the vehicle 2 weeks ago and it had an aftermarket radio installed. i purchased a newer radio last week and tried to install it today but it would not turn on. i tested the radio on the car battery first to see if the radio actually works and it does. secondly i used a test light to find power. the yellow w/ red strip ignition wire has no power at all when vehicle is in the run position. the 12v constant wire, white w/ blue stripe only has power when the vehicle is in the run position. third i checked for a ground and the black wire is working and illuminated the test light but the white w. blue strip wire lit dimly as well which makes me believe it has a short since it illuminates dimly with both test light tests. i have a solid red wire and a red w/ black strip wire that also lights up when searching for a ground but not with power, those 2 wires are aftermarket i believe , maybe for an amp or subwoofer. I checked the fuse under the hood, the 7.5 amp, and it was blown. I replaced and no luck. Under the dash i checked as well and no blown fuses. I am unsure what to try next. possibly grab a multi meter and see if the constant is getting 12v and check to see if the ignition wire is getting any juice too. if anyone has any advice or links to wiring diagrams please help me out!

Radio Illumination red/black + radio harness

Speakers:
Left Front Speaker (+/-) blue/green - gray/black +,- radio harness
Right Front Speaker (+/-) red/green - brown/black +,- radio harness
Left Rear Speaker (+/-) blue/yellow - gray/white +,- radio harness
Right Rear Speaker (+/-) red/yellow - brown/white +,- radio harness

Use a multimeter, not a light. Much more accurate. Might as well take this time to polish and make a new ground too
