Assuming your Honda is an 1988 LXI, perhaps your code is 8, for the Top Dead Center sensor. What is your Honda doing that caused you to pull the codes?

1998 is OBD2, why not just scan it and get the actual P diagnostic trouble code. Are you sure it's not 10 and 8?

Code 18 is an error for the intake air pipe control system, . There is a solenoid and diaphragm located in the intake tube near the air box. Not sure if the 98 Civic has one or not. Ether way it really wouldn't effect how the engine is running. Lots of people remove them when they do a CAI install.

I saw 'Lxi" in the post, and though it might haven a 1988, which is when the Lxi Accords were out there. Must have mean LX.
