You know when the top of the intake box is off your car is sucking in hot air...

yeah i know like i said i didn't do it and i dont have the cover for it, i guess the previous owner wanted the sound. i cleared the code and it hasn't came back yet, but i didnt fix anything so i am expecting it to come back on. just wanted to know what faulty electronics could throw this code.

^x2 it could be your secondary air injection system. I threw a code for that too and it I couldent figure it out for the longest time. The metal vacum lines that run to the seconday air injection system valve and solonoid rubbed against my strut bar and created a hole in both of the lines. this was causing the incorrect flow. So check all your vacume lines.

There is actually a service bulletin on all 00-05 s2k's (SB 06-055) it says the air pump relay can stick and cause the air pump to overheat and throw a number of codes one of which being being p0411 (secondary air injection system incorrect flow)

I agree. This code is either your vacuum lines not seated properly, or your vacuum control soleniod valve disfunctioning.

I had to replace mine after 95K (just a month ago). Small valve bolted to the rear of the intake box. I got mine used from a member on s2ki for $25.00 shipped... Give that a look
