starting Issue after accidentally grounding ignition switch.
long story short, my car keys fell off my motorcycle while going down the road, so i needed to be able to temporarily start my car without a key. car is a 1990 honda accord 2 door LX 5 speed manual.
i took the key part of the ignition off and was able to just use a screw driver to turn the ignition switch to start the car in case of emergencies until the part got to me in the mail. everything was fine until while the car was running and i was trying to shut it off i accidentally touched the wires in the back of the ignition switch to the rod that attaches to the steering wheel and it shot sparks and the car died. i thought i just fried my starter switch, but after replacing it and the ignition, the car still wont start, the radio doesnt come on, and fuel pump doesnt prime.
im assuming i blew a fuse, but i cant find anyone who has had the same issue.
i once grounded out my headlights on my running motorcycle and blew a fuse and the bike died and wouldnt start until i replaced that fuse.
does anyone know what fuse im looking for, or which relay i probably blew, or just the relays i need to check?
any help is appreciated.

Probably nobody has fried whatever you did with the screwdriver.
If you replaced the switch, which is the round plastic cylinder with a big wire that runs under the dash and has a big brown plug that goes into the fusebox, then that would rule it out. You might even try removing it from the back of the ignition cylinder and turning it with a phillips screwcriver to see what happens. The phillips scredriver of the right size will fit into the hole without damaging anything. It does seem like your power is being cut off right there. If you have not replaced that, take it off an look at it. It has little contacts that connect power when the key is turned. You might have fused all that together with the jolt of power. If it is still the old one, you will need to take it apart to see the contacts under there.
If still nothing, you are going to have to search and see what you killed. Maybe a bunch of stuff in that chain. The Main Relay (PGM FI) a black box mounting with screws under there, Starter Cut Relay (small black thing under dash not far from the Main Relay, There are two black things that look the same, you will need to identify the proper one. On mine, they both sit just above the hood release lever on underside of dash. There is also a 50A ignition fuse (relay) thing in the box under the hood, and at least one fuse in the box on the interior left under the little door.

Literally having the same exact issue. I replaced the entire ignition switch and lock cylinder though. Found me 40a ignition fuse under hood blown. Replaced that and main relay. Still no fuel pump priming, no radio/ac/power to windows and locks.
Did you ever find the solution?

I am replacing my ignition (the lock cylinder and the switch itself) in my ‘92 Accord LX and the wiring diagram is different than the diagram on the box of the universal switch I bought. I have the wire colors identified so I just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing by wiring it the way the box says.
