Hi All,

Van is 2010 Odyssey with 84 K miles. Non VCM model.

Engine mounts and transmission mounts are new (Honda parts). front one was in 2 pieces and side was cracked. So replaced all of them.

Problem: On medium to heavy throttle after coasting, it makes a clunk noise like hitting with a heavy mallet. Not like a metal to metal noise. Also when release the gas pedal suddenly after throttle, it makes the same noise. If i go easy on it, no issues. Tried the following

CV checks
1) Highway speeds, no vibrations. Guess inner CV joint is fine?
2) No clunk on full right / full left turns. Outer CV joint is fine?
3) No grease in outer / inner boots on both sides
4) When try to shake it, the passenger side cv, inner joint, it is making some kind of metal rubbing noise. Driver side, it is not as bad as passenger side. Also the intermediate shaft bearing on passenger side, there is looseness.

Also
1) Tie rods. No looseness in 3-9 clock check. No leaks / rips in boots.
2) No noise on bumpy roads and pot holes.
3) Control arm, the ball joint, i tried to use a pry bar. No play. But the bushing on the rear, i can move the arm up and bottom but not sideways like the wheel will do during driving. 6-12 clock check is fine.
4) Sway bar links/ bushings, all no noise.
5) Sub frame bolts are tight.
6) No other loose components that i can find like rack.
7) Raise the RPM with brake + D and brake + R. No noise. Only when wheels are in motion, it makes the noise

Was wondering if it is the CV axle it self. But all the information that i can get, says it should have highway speed vibration / leaking grease. Could it be the inner joint getting bad or the control arm?
