Default funny THUD noise when driving.. could it be this...

when i am driving at a normal speed the car is fine but hwne i press the pedal further down the car begins to make a thud noise and kinda shake a little. i think it has somehting to do with the axles or something but not sure. it started on a long trip on the freeway. i also noticed a noise when turning left so could it be that there is not enough grease in the CV boots? what do you think

well a repetitive thunking noise when braking would be warped rotars but when accelerating i dunno, maybe tranny prob or sounds like maybe your cv isnt quite connected all the way, check your boots...

Look to see if your cv joint boot is torn. Probably a bad cv joint. Time to get it replaced, not fun, I had to do it not too long ago.

Sounds like its your axle. It could be your driver side if you turn left and you can hear it. I had the same problem. When I push the gas it makes a thumbing noise and when I turn left it made it too. I replaced the axle and now its fine.

Forgot to add somethin....It also does it when I brake. So just replace the driver side axle.

its probably the cv joint. i recently broke a cv joint so bad that the boot ripped and 2 bearings fell out on the ground. when i drove it home (didnt know exactly how bad it was) it thumped and shook under acceleration. when i went to change the axle, half of it came off in my hand and the other half was still in the tranny- separated at the ripped cv joint. if your cv is bad just replace the whole axle, its not that hard should take about 2 hours if u never did it b4 and like 45 min if u know whats goin on.
