Explain the symptoms please , this is like saying your car doesn't work and does anyone know why. Your engine is a 1.8 Litre.

Have you tried putting the car in D2 and then try driving at 25 KM/h ? This will stop it from shifting above 2nd and you should be at about 3200 RPM so a 1 minute test will show where on the power train the failure is most likely. Do you have any TCM codes or any O2 or fuel ratio codes thrown or pending ? Does it happen always , hot or cold. How does the motor sound when it loses power ? The reason I am asking this is that the 2nd gear oil pressure sensor is a frequent flyer in the failing component program for this particular model.

The 3rd clutch sensor is the easy one to change and jack stands and a metric wrench set is all you need to change it. The 2nd gear sits under the air filter housing and you have to remove it to get access. DO NOT follow the common BS that you need to remove the battery and tray , work the air filter housing out carefully and you won't need this . just disconnect the positive while you're working on the electrical system and you will be fine.
