Are their any 240 sx converts out there ?
I currently have a hybrid honda. 93 cx with a b18c. Anyone convert over to a 240. If so how does it compare to a honda swap. I know that there is a little more wiring, but the motor is a bolt in. I just wanted to see if anyone here has done / seen / have a friend with one.

I'll let you know next year. That's my next project car.
I know one guy that jumped from a 2nd gen built B16A integra to a 180SX body style with a SR20 motor and he's running low 13's now and all he really did was drop the motor in and turn the boost up (He has a Starion IC). If he actually had money in that car it would go fast, look, nice and turn.

Ya, I was going to boost my ride but i started reading about how easy the swaps are. It's my next project also. Any one want to buy one hella clean hybrid ????
Hey guys,
Could you enlighten me on what engine the sr20 is(what car, displacement, type of turbo)? Is it true that you can swap the 300ZX twin turbo motor in 240's without major problems. I have a friend w/ a 240 that would love to here about this. What kind of mods are necessary for either of these swaps? A rear wheel drive 320 hp car for under 12K is very apealing.

My brother has a 1992 240SX. And his car is OKAY. But I can't say that it is overly powerful. The one thing that I don't like about the 240SX is that your allmotor options are really ZERO. Anything that would even get you into the 14's with that car is going to require a turbo in one form or another. As they say over at JWT, the stock KA24DE will never see 200HP (crankshaft) without a turbo.

As for the V6, this is not possible without ALOT of custom fabrication and ALOT of money. But I have to admit that the idea of a Q45 V8 in an S13 body is quite attractive.

That swap is so common these days that wiring isn't hard anymore. I know of a few places that will re-wire a stock KA24DE harness and SR20 harness for you for a reasonable price. I've done the math on this swap and if I spent on a 240 SX what I spent on my hatch I'd have a 12 sec sick looking Sil-eighty.
But I love Honda's and being the underdog so I'm glad I built my hatch. I'm going ot keep my Honda as well. I'm not jumping on a bandwagon I'm looking to acquire something different.

Everyone seems to be jumping on the 240 bandwagon. I like them but I would never sell my beater in favor of having a 240. I would definitely try to have both since Apex i ITR said we honda guys like being the underdogs.
