Default Quaife LSD disassembly

Has anyone disassembled one of these for cleaning? I recently bought a GSR transmission with several splines on the output shaft and ring gear sheared off. I want to disassemble the Quaife unit (or at least open it up and blast it out) to get any metal particles out and to verify operation before reselling.

Are the top and bottom supposed to rotate independently from each other?

Are the Allen Key bolts holding it together reverse thread or regular thread?

Any info would be helpful. Sending it in to Quaife is *most likely* out of the question, paying to have it done would destroy any potential profit on this buy. I've rebuilt a B16 transmission before so I'm not afraid to take stuff apart and put it back together.

Thanks!

They are standard thread.

If you take it apart you void the warranty on it. Send it in to Motovicity.
