Am I able to use non oem piston rings in an h22a4? Honda oem rings are insane. Its going to cost over $200 just for rings. I understand these engines have an frm coating. Would I be ok with hastings piston rings? They are way more affordable. Thanks

 

Yes you can use the Hastings rings. The FRM sleeves have no effect on anything other than the ability to safely run an aftermarket forged piston. The nice thing about them is you don't have to hone them when you re-ring the engine unless there are deep scratches that run the length of the bore.
